Product Description

ASA is a ternary copolymer composed of acrylonitrile, styrene, and butyl acrylate. It is a core–shell graft copolymer in which the crosslinked poly(butyl acrylate) serves as the core, with a shell grafted by a styrene–acrylonitrile copolymer, and it is classified as an impact‑modifying resin. By replacing the butadiene rubber in ABS with butyl acrylate, ASA significantly enhances weatherability and aging resistance—its weathering performance is approximately ten times that of ABS—while retaining ABS’s mechanical strength. It also offers high‑temperature resistance and antistatic properties, maintaining 75% of its room‑temperature impact strength even in extreme cold down to −30°C.
