Product Description
Polyetherimide (PEI), also known as poly(bisphenol A tetracyanate), is produced via high-temperature polycondensation in a polar solvent, using bisphenol A dianhydride, various aromatic diamines (such as m‑phenylenediamine), and an appropriate amount of comonomer (e.g., aniline, phthalic anhydride). It appears as a transparent amber-colored material, is non‑toxic and odorless, has a density of 1.27 g/cm³, and exhibits a water absorption of 0.25% after 24 hours at 23°C.
