ABS plastic, chemically known as acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer, is ideal for manufacturing general-purpose mechanical parts, as well as wear-resistant and friction-reducing components, transmission parts, and telecommunications components. It offers excellent overall performance, with high impact strength, good chemical resistance, and superior electrical properties. Available in grades that provide high impact resistance, enhanced heat resistance, flame retardancy, reinforcement, and even transparency. While its flowability is slightly lower than HIPS, it surpasses materials like PMMA and PC in this regard, and it also boasts outstanding flexibility.
